Edencraft International is an established boat-building company delivering high-quality vessels to the commercial and pleasure craft marine industries. Our purpose at Edencraft is to provide the world's best trailer boat experience.
An exciting opportunity exists for experienced Electricians to join the fit-out team at our manufacturing facility in Geelong. The successful candidate will be responsible for electrical equipment installation on Edencraft vessels. This involves understanding marine operations and the operation of individual vessels and components.
General Responsibilities:

Installation of electrical equipment, including 12 volt systems
Understanding of radio and navigational equipment
Fault finding & repairs
Understanding of the test and repair control systems
Ensuring all necessary tools, equipment, and supplies required in the course of their duties are utilised to the safest standards and re-ordered when running low
Responsible for the start-up and shutdown of machinery as related to the role

Prerequisites:

Certificate III in Engineering
Electrical/Electronic Trade (Marine Electrical Mechanics, A-Grade Electrician or equivalent) or 5 + years relevant experience
Experience in monitoring systems and extra Low Voltage DC Systems
Instrumentation installation & calibration experience

Highly Desirable:

Problem-solving skills and confidence initiating continuous improvement systems
High work ethic and delivers work to a high level
Strong resilience when faced with challenging work tasks and situations
Experience in the marine industry and an understanding of vessel operations
High-Risk Work License (Forklift)
Knowledge of and ability to implement LEAN manufacturing
