Ophir Drilling Pty Ltd , a leading drilling services provider in the mining industry, is seeking experienced Diamond Drillers to join our team based in Orange, NSW. As an Experienced Diamond Driller, you will play a vital role in our surface drilling operations, contributing to the exploration and development of valuable mineral resources. This is a full-time position, offering the opportunity to be part of an innovative and safety-focused organisation.
What you'll be doing Operate and maintain diamond drill rigs to industry standards Conduct all drilling activities, including set-up, operation, and shut-down procedures Ensure the quality and accuracy of core samples collected Monitor and maintain drilling equipment, reporting any issues or maintenance requirements Adhere to all safety protocols and environmental regulations Provide training and mentorship to drill crews Collaborate with the exploration and geological teams to optimise drilling operations What we're looking for Minimum 3 years' experience as a Diamond Driller in a surface mining environment Thorough understanding of diamond drilling techniques and equipment Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to safety Ability to work effectively in a team environment and mentor less experienced drillers Certificate 3 in Drilling operations HR Drivers Licence First Aid (HLTAID011) Clean Criminal Record Check What we offer Stable 2-1 Roster Opportunities for career development and advancement Supportive and collaborative work environment Training and development programs to enhance your skills Commitment to employee health, safety, and wellbeing About us Ophir Drilling Pty Ltd is a well-established and trusted provider of drilling services to the mining and exploration industries.
