About the Role As a Cook at Stellarossa Crestmead Cafe, you will be busy pumping out hot and cold cafe meals for dine-in, drive thru and takeaway, while maintaining a clean workspace, managing prep and stock levels, and supporting your fellow team members.
This is a part-time position with lots of hours on offer, including weekend work, which is a must.
Responsibilities Prepare and cook food items per Stellarossa recipes, such as burgers, salads, wraps, breakfast dishes, lunch meals, and other café menu options in a timely and efficient manner. Maintain a clean and organised workspace, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations. Work quickly to meet the fast-paced demands of a drive-thru and dine-in cafe service, ensuring customers receive their orders promptly. Clean and maintain all kitchen equipment, ensuring they're in good working order, and promptly reporting any faults. Be knowledgeable about the café's menu and be able to accommodate special dietary requests or modifications to orders as required. Assist with opening and closing duties. Support your team members and create a positive atmosphere. Manage inventory and restock supplies as needed. Minimise food wastage by managing portions and storage correctly, and adhering to best practices for the use of ingredients. Requirements Minimum of 1 year of experience working as a cook, chef or kitchen-hand. Strong knowledge of kitchen processes and equipment. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work efficiently in a high-pressure environment. Availability to work weekends is essential. A charismatic, engaging, bright, and bubbly personality. High energy and productivity levels.
