Talk to us about what flexibility may look like for you.Period of Appointment: Appointment to the role is on a fixed-term, part-time basis (up to 73.5 hours per fortnight) for two years.Duties:Assist in the development of permanent, temporary and travelling exhibitions, applying professional museum practices.Liaison with those involved in exhibition and display development, such as curators and designers, to prepare and assess exhibition and display options including providing technical guidance.Installation and de-installation of in-house and travelling exhibitions and displays, including packing and crating. This may include use of power tools and computer and software usage.Prepare exhibition material such as mount, display and model making as well as graphic preparation (mounting and trimming).Ensure permanent and temporary displays are maintained in good order, including undertaking cleaning of showcases and displays as directed.Provide administrative support for exhibitions including cataloguing equipment, monitoring and assisting with coordination of gallery maintenance requests and purchasing of basic equipment.Current Driver's Licence.Pre-employment Requirements:The Head of the State Service has determined that the person nominated for this role is to satisfy a pre-employment check before taking up the appointment, promotion or transfer.
