About the Opportunity The Exhibition Production Team is part of the award-winning Exhibitions team at State Library Victoria, and leads end-to-end production, project management and successful delivery of the Library's forward program, annually comprising three major exhibitions and other audience-focused exhibits and displays.
Reporting to the Manager, Exhibitions and collaborating closely with the Audience Engagement department and colleagues across the Library, the position manages a team of exhibition production staff in best practice project management methodologies, with a focus on driving world class exhibition production and experience outcomes for the Library's diverse audiences.
About You The ideal candidate will have experience in a similar role, leading exhibition development and production, preferably within a collecting organisation. An experienced project manager, the successful candidate will enjoy engaging with and coordinating multiple stakeholders. You will have experience in leading people, providing timely feedback and coaching to guide an engaged team.
In addition, you will come with:
Significant demonstrated experience in the planning, production and delivery of exhibitions within a similar presenting organisation, preferably a collecting organisation.Demonstrated experience of success in establishing and maintaining outstanding relationships and communications with multiple stakeholders in a complex project setting.Demonstrated experience in project management, including resourcing and managing projects within given parameters, including budgets and timelines.Demonstrated experience in application of best practice in exhibition production, including experience in the technical aspects of exhibition production (such as design, fabrication, lighting, AV, and digital components).Demonstrated experience effectively managing and monitoring budgets, including cost and resourcing estimation, procurement and financial reporting.Experience leading and motivating a production team to deliver successful outcomes.Qualifications in project management, arts management or related discipline well regarded.How to apply Please click the Apply button to submit your application via Careers.Vic.
