As an Exercise Physiology Team Leader, you will play a critical role in our innovative multidisciplinary team. Your primary focus will be providing EP services to older adults attending our centre-based programs, including both individual and/or group-based modes of delivery, while also leading and supporting a team of Exercise Physiologists.
With our strong emphasis on enhancing client well-being, you will be responsible for assessing and delivering evidence-based exercise programs to customers funded through the Commonwealth Home Support Program (CHSP) referred through My Aged Care; and to those in receipt of a home care package.
Additionally, you will provide leadership, guidance, and support to the Exercise Physiology team, ensuring high standards of care and professional development. An important part of your role will be providing support to our team of Exercise Physiologists who work across four sites in Melbourne. You will run regular team meetings and provide one-to-one clinical supervision to them.
About you: The ideal candidate will be customer-focused, reliable, and adaptable. They will be motivated and committed to the provision of customer-centred care and demonstrate strong leadership skills to effectively manage and support their team. The candidate should have the capacity to work well autonomously and in a team environment, fostering collaboration and professional development among team members.
We are looking for individuals with: ESSA accreditation as an Exercise Physiologist Demonstrated experience in the completion of physical assessments, development of care plans, and implementation of evidence-based clinical interventions for clientele with a variety of health conditions Proven leadership and team management skills, including the ability to mentor, motivate, and develop a team of Exercise Physiologists and other staff members (desirable) Experience with running group exercise programs, i.e., strength and conditioning sessions, balance groups, hydrotherapy programs (desirable) Experience in the Aged Care or Community Sectors (desirable) Demonstrated capacity to work in a multidisciplinary team Demonstrated interpersonal skills both written and verbal High-level organizational skills and computer literacy Are committed to being part of a workplace culture based on the B E S T way of life (Believe, Excel, Support and Trust) Essentials for working in Aged Care: A current Working With Children Check card Current and ongoing flu and COVID-19 Vaccinations Australian working rights Ability to pass a national police clearance and NDIS Clearance Make a positive difference in your community – apply now!
