Providing occupational rehabilitation services to clients with a range of conditions, both physical and psychological and supporting them to achieve return to health and return to work outcomes. This opportunity working as a Rehabilitation Consultant stands out as you will also get
exposure delivering some of IPAR's innovative services including our pain educationRe-thinking Recoveryprogram
. This program centres around using virtual reality and modern pain science to help people understand pain and re-train their brain and body. Re-thinking recovery is used in collaboration with a client's current healthcare approach and will involve engagement with the entire treating team to ensure that the service is focused on the client. Duties of the role include: Case management (caseloads are manageable, and our consultants have the support of Rehabilitation Assistants
toalleviate administrative tasks); Applying your clinical knowledge to improve return to work outcomes; Working with employers and employees to develop and implement injury prevention and workplace education programs; Working collaboratively with injured workers, employers, medical and allied health professionals; Completinga variety of assessments using your clinical and discipline specific allied health skills, such as Functional Capacity Evaluations,Worksite Assessments, Ergonomic Assessments, and Activities of Daily Living Assessments; Deliver our innovative virtual reality pain education program, Re-thinking Recovery. You'll be a driven and energetic professional with hopefully all of the qualities below! Tertiary qualification in Exercise Physiology registration with ESSA and SIRA Accreditation ; Previous experience working in Occupational Rehabilitation industry would be highly regarded; Fabulous communication skills - there is a lot of getting to know your clients and stakeholders!; Compassion and kindness always go a long way as does empathy; It's the kind of career where well developed time management skills are a must & plus!; A current NSWDriver's License
