We have an opening for an Exercise Physiologist to join the team at our oncology centre based in Mandurah, WA.
As an Exercise Physiologist, you will report directly to the Centre Leader and be responsible for providing day-to-day coordination and delivery of the Exercise Medicine Service.
You will be responsible for providing guidance and support to people with a prescribed exercise programme as part of their cancer treatment.
On offer is a part-time position, working 2 days a week (Tuesday and Thursday).
More Specifically, You Will Deliver individualised exercise programs to GenesisCare patients, assisting them to engage in exercise during treatment and beyond.Demonstrate an empathetic understanding regarding the benefits of and potential barriers to exercise during and after cancer treatment.Provide follow-up information to patients interested in exercise in a timely manner, answering questions and alleviating concerns where appropriate.Design and execute individual exercise prescriptions and transition plans for patients based on their medical history and other relevant personal characteristics.Maintain detailed records and provide timely communications to all relevant clinicians.Oversee the physical space of the exercise clinic.We're Looking For Someone Who Has Bachelor's degree in Exercise Physiology with ESSA Accreditation.CPR & Current First Aid.Previous exercise oncology experience (desirable).Demonstrated knowledge and ability to develop appropriate exercise programs for people with a wide range of physical capabilities.Genuine passion for the patients and the responsibilities of the role.Ability to work independently and unsupervised.Strong organisational and interpersonal skills.Previous experience communicating and reporting to other health and medical professionals (desirable).Demonstrated understanding of principles of behaviour change and ability to utilise those principles to appropriately guide people to engage in exercise (desirable).About GenesisCare
