South West Hospital and Health Service has an exciting opportunity for an Exercise Physiologist to join our Healthy Communities team in Roma, Western QLD.
Join us in building better health in the bush! The exercise physiologist forms part of the Healthy Communities multidisciplinary team to provide optimal, responsive and flexible exercise physiology clinical services in outpatient/community and outreach facility settings.
The exercise physiologist in the Healthy Communities team is based in Roma; however, other hospitals and community clinics are located in small towns within the SWHHS, therefore an outreach service is provided to deliver in-person services to these communities.
The exercise physiology services include the planning, prescription, implementation, and evaluation of chronic disease exercise interventions for individuals and group programs within the SWHHS. Exercise interventions will aim to modify chronic disease risk factors to promote, develop, and maintain independent client functioning and prevent hospital admissions.
