Physica is one of Australia's leading Musculoskeletal physiotherapy groups, located in the Eastern suburbs of Melbourne, across three locations - Ringwood, Chirnside Park and Knoxfield.
Our team includes over 30 physiotherapists, with 18 APA-Titled Musculoskeletal and Sports & Exercise Physiotherapists.

Introducing our new facility:
Physica is building a brand-new, purpose-built rehabilitation and clinical exercise gym in Ringwood, Victoria.
The gym will feature state-of-the-art resistance training equipment, including plate-loaded machines, cable machines, squat/smith racks, a sled, a full dumbbell rack, and Pilates reformers.
It will also house a VALD assessment room with advanced technology such as the ForceFrame and ForceDecks for measuring strength, power, balance, and symmetry.
Our new facility will host both clinical group exercise classes and 1:1 exercise sessions.
Who we are looking for:
We are seeking a motivated and organised Exercise/Sports Scientist to support our physiotherapy team (Exercise Physiologists are also welcome to apply).
This role blends customer service, administrative, and technical skills to ensure an efficient and welcoming gym environment.

Key Responsibilities: Support for Physiotherapists and supervise exercise classes:
• Assist physiotherapists in running group exercise classes, providing coaching and supervision to ensure a rewarding and positive experience for all participants.
• Communicate observations about patient progress to physiotherapists for timely feedback and adjustments.
• Record exercise completion for class attendees electronically, ensuring accurate tracking.Patient Reception and Administration:
• Process EFTPOS payments, private health insurance claims, and patient re-bookings using Nookal (training provided).
• Open and close the gym, ensuring it is prepared for daily activities.
• Welcome patients and sign them into their classes.Gym Maintenance:
• Maintain a clean, organised, and hygienic gym space.Technical and Assessment Assistance:
• Conduct strength, functional, and balance assessments using VALD technology (training provided).
• Accurately record assessment data to support patient progress tracking and treatment planning.Required Skills and Qualifications: Essential:
• Bachelor's degree in Exercise Science or equivalent qualification.
• Friendly, approachable, and professional demeanour with strong communication skills.
• Reliability, punctuality, and attention to detail in maintaining records and scheduling.
• Comfort with electronic data entry and software systems.
Desirable:
• Experience in healthcare, fitness, or administrative roles.
• Familiarity with EFTPOS systems and health insurance claim processing.
• Proficiency in Nookal or similar practice management software.
• Previous experience with VALD technology or similar equipment.
Working Hours:
• Morning and afternoon/evening shifts.
• Availability to work Saturday mornings is essential.
