In this role you will primarily provide administrative support to the Superintendent and the Business Engagement Team, while working closely with other members within the Digital Services and Security Department.
The Business Engagement Division is the front door to Information, Communication and Digital Technology services and their role is to support Victoria Police customers throughout the IT project delivery process. This position will suit someone keen to further develop their skills in executive administration, as well as take on projects within an inclusive and supportive Division.
Victoria Police is a contemporary and agile workplace and supports flexible working arrangements. This is a part-time employment opportunity of 6 working days per fortnight.
Your duties will include: Providing administrative support, including electronic calendar and meeting management, and secretariat support to a range of internal Committees. Assisting in developing concepts and submissions for the Division. Maintaining registers and managing records for correspondence. Researching and preparing information on issues and topics for the Superintendent. Establishing small-scale improvements in the office and supporting projects underway. Providing advice and assistance across the Division as needed. Working closely with other senior managers, executive support officers, and team members within the Department. As the successful applicant, you will have: Demonstrated knowledge of secretarial services and skills in administrative processes, including information management systems and electronic applications. Highly developed skills in document preparation and management, and task prioritisation and coordination. Knowledge of the customer service requirements of the position and a commitment to meeting customer needs. The ability to display respect and resilience, and work well within a team in a pressured environment. Excellent communications skills, both written and oral, and a proven ability to effectively communicate with external stakeholders and internal management at all levels. A proven record of ethical behaviour and a demonstrated commitment to the Victoria Police Code of Ethics and the Organisational Values. Requirements and relevant information: If the position/s is part time, the salary plus superannuation will be pro rata This position is located at Victoria Police Centre, 311 Spencer Street, Docklands. The successful applicant will be required to undergo National Security Vetting, achieve and maintain a security classification as determined by the Department Head. To achieve this, applicants must be an Australian Citizen. The successful candidate will be required to undergo pre-employment checks which may include fingerprint checks and misconduct screening.
