The Office of Industrial Relations and Workforce Strategy is seeking a dynamic and skilled professional to fill the role of Executive Support Officer to the Deputy Director-General (DDG).
The Executive Support Officer will work hand in hand with the Executive Officer and the Executive Assistant to support the management of the Office of the Deputy Director-General.
A typical day could include:
Supporting the Executive Officer to manage the day-to-day operations of the OIRWS Executive Office; Providing advice on high priority tasks and projects in consultation with senior leaders; Quality assuring the advice and correspondence provided to the DDG; Representing the DDG and the Office at meetings and forums; Monitoring tasks, projects and timeframes and determining whether items are progressing and on track to achieve desired outcomes. In the event of a potential or expected delay effectively communicate reasons for delay or alteration and facilitate agreement on the way forward; Mentoring your colleagues to build capability and knowledge of the OIRWS purpose; Encouraging a positive workplace culture. Notes: A merit pool may be established from this selection process and will be used to fill vacancies over the next 12 months. Part-time hours will be considered, and the full-time salary noted above will be pro-rata.
