Executive Sous Chef
to help lead our team at
Oaks Cypress Lakes Resort.This role will work closely with the Executive Chef and overlook the overall operation of Bistro, Restaurant, and conferencing.This unique position will be responsible for the formulation of culinary dishes, whilst supervising and providing guidance to the kitchen and restaurant teams.Key Responsibilities Include:
Overseeing the performance of kitchen team members, upholding a standard of excellence and uniformity in the products offered to guestsAssisting in the creation of menus, along with their corresponding cost analysisManaging inventory levels and overseeing all back of house food and labour expensesImplementing procedures to ensure an elevated standard of presentation, sanitation, service, and product calibreEnsuring compliance with all health and safety regulations and food standardsManaging the recruitment, induction, training, and rostering of all kitchen team membersCurating and refining recipes to meet discerning culinary preferences, restrictions, and sensitivitiesCrafting meals tailored to an array of dietary limitations and allergiesQualifications
To be successful in this role you will need:Hold relevant Certificate III Cookery qualificationsExtensive experience working as a Sous ChefExceptional leadership skills, with experience in leading and motivating a highly skilled and diverse teamBe able to work under pressure within a dynamic team environmentExcellent interpersonal and communication skillsAvailability to work a variety of shifts as required, including weekends and public holidaysAdditional Information
