Executive Services Officer - North Rockhampton State High School, EducationDepartment of Education QLD – North Rockhampton QLDNorth Rockhampton State High School is looking for an enthusiastic and professional individual to join our team as an Executive Services Officer. The successful applicant must have highly developed communication skills, be self-motivated and display high levels of energy. They should have the ability to engage with all levels of the school community. You will contribute to the effective and efficient management and administration of the school by providing a high level of confidential administrative and executive support to the Principal.About the School:North Rockhampton State High is a large Band 10 coeducational school situated in the centre of North Rockhampton. Currently, the school has a student population of about 950 students and eighty teaching staff. A large Special Education Unit provides additional support structures within the school. The school has an extensive range of curriculum offerings, one of the largest in the Rockhampton district, with growing flexibility for students in the senior phase. TAFE link courses, school-based traineeships, structured work placements, and alternative programs for students all contribute to a diverse and futures-orientated approach to schooling. Outstanding sporting success of students at district, regional state, and national levels reflects a strong school and staff commitment to sport. Music and instrumental music programs are also widely recognised in the Rockhampton community, with the school's instrumental music ensembles producing outstanding results.About the Role:Responsibilities include:Organise the Principal for liaison with senior government, private sector executives, and community representatives in order to expedite the business activities of the school/college and the Department.Provide a comprehensive range of executive and administrative support services including preparation of accurate and timely reports, correspondence and other documents, financial management, and procurement.Undertake a variety of research, project, and committee support activities, including coordination and preparation of plans, reports, correspondence and other documentation.Maintain effective time management practices for the Principal including coordinating diary appointments, prioritising correspondence, preventing unnecessary interruptions and screening telephone calls.Monitor progress and report to the Principal on various projects and action items, undertake investigation, research and analysis of sensitive and confidential matters.This position is a temporary role until 27 June 2025 unless otherwise determined.Interested?
