You will be leading the cutting-edge team in this growing Australian market, specialising in trenchless installation projects, with a focus on complex pipe jacking projects and remediation of 1200DN+ storm-water, water, and wastewater assets, including slip-lining in live conditions.This exciting new role will also see you be a source of tangible and practical experience in Temporary Works and Underground Structure pursuits and Early Contractor Involvement Advisory.You will be instrumental in ensuring communication between all teams and stages are clear, and also relish in identifying new business opportunities where you and the team can offer solutions within pipe jacking, micro-tunnelling and horizontal directional drilling (HDD), as well as in other trenchless and remediation methods throughout Australia and New Zealand's water, wastewater and tailings spaces.What you'll do:As our Technical Executive/Principal, you will have extensive experience in consulting and/or primary contractor environments and strive to be the key conduit between all parties that makes the delivery of a major project successful.Utilising your experience directly from the trenchless construction industry, you will be troubleshooting site conditions practically and innovatively.By leveraging your technical experience and your extensive networking abilities, you will be instrumental in attracting and securing projects from asset owners and contractors in this exponentially growing industry - particularly in larger diameter trunk sewers and complex site condition projects.Plus, your role will also be well supported with skilled resources, every step of the way.A typical day for you would look like (but not be limited to):Providing tender phase support, managing construction staging, and developing and interpreting specifications and drawings while coordinating with various disciplines.Sharing your knowledge and expertise in all stages of the project lifecycle, from conceptual design to construction delivery, consistently providing optimal solutions that enhance safety, efficiency, and cost-effectiveness.Providing technical support and project management by working closely with contractors, specialist subcontractors, other consultants, as well as clients to ensure project success.Offer solutions and be confident in your ability to simplifying complex designs whilst enhancing construction methods, particularly in projects where safety, functionality, and cost control are paramount.Provide technical and practical construction guidance and mentorship to junior staff, reviewing designs and drawings, and actively participating in design workshops and client meetings.Being passionate about advancing industry standards, particularly in temporary works and trenchless technology.About You:You have a strong, collaborative approach, enabling effective work with contractors, stakeholders, and clients to develop practical, constructable solutions that mitigate design risks, alongside the hands-on experience you have had in the industry.You also possess:The ability to client face with contractors and asset owners, demonstrating past onsite knowledge and experience troubleshooting issues with trenchless installation.A deep understanding of products on the market and ideally have supplier contracts.Proven experience in trenchless installation projects, including micro-tunnelling and sewer rehabilitation.Principal level expertise in the design implementation of micro-tunnel drive specification as well as curved drive forces and other complex micro-tunnelling or drilling topics.Experience in active sewer environments and the HSE issues in those spaces.Understanding of shaft and temporary works to support the micro-tunnelling drives.Strong leadership and team management skills.Excellent coordination and communication abilities.Ability to work under tight deadlines and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.Qualifications:Bachelor's Degree in Civil/Structural Engineering.Professional Chartered Engineer (CPEng).In addition, you will bring the following skills and attributes:Natural connector.Problem solver with a powerful team spirit.Open.Curious.Adaptable.Someone ready to do the kind of work the world needs.Join our close-knit community of talented individuals who share your passion for making a positive impact.
