Reporting directly to the Joint Parliamentary Service Committee (JPSC), this is a rare chance to play a pivotal role in managing and enhancing the operational efficiency of the Joint Parliamentary Services and supporting parliamentary stakeholders.
THE ROLEThe Executive Officer will provide high-level strategic, operational, and financial leadership, ensuring the delivery of efficient, customer-focused services across Parliament.
The Executive Officer will drive strategic reforms and lead organisational change across the Joint Parliamentary Services, which include key areas such as the Library, Hansard, Catering, Information Technology, People and Culture, Finance and Building Services.
Overseeing a dedicated team, this role ensures effective governance, financial management, and a culture of continuous improvement.
Collaborating closely with Members of Parliament, the Clerks of both Houses, and senior stakeholders, the Executive Officer will deliver exceptional service outcomes while championing workplace equality and innovation.
THE CANDIDATEThe ideal candidate will be an accomplished leader with proven experience in managing complex organisational operations and implementing strategic reforms including establishing systems of work.
Tertiary qualifications in business, management, or related fields are essential.
The candidate will possess exceptional interpersonal skills, a track record of fostering workplace equality and respect, and the ability to navigate politically sensitive environments with discretion and professionalism.
Candidates with senior leadership experience and a proven track record of delivering reform in public sector agencies are encouraged to apply.
