Our client is a well-established, farmer-led organisation dedicated to improving the profitability and sustainability of mixed farmers and croppers in the irrigation areas of northern Victoria and southern NSW. With a 23-year history of practical research, development, and extension activities, they are at the forefront of promoting best agriculture practices.
The OpportunityAs the Executive Officer, you will:
Lead the daily operations of a dynamic, growing organisationImplement strategic initiatives to drive future successCollaborate closely with the board, internal team, and external stakeholdersDeliver high-quality programs for farmersImprove organisational resources and foster a culture of excellenceKey ResponsibilitiesOversee daily operations and ensure organisational goals are metDevelop and maintain strong relationships with government, universities, commercial companies, and other farming systems groupsManage a team of seven employees and long-term contractorsEnsure compliance with legal and regulatory requirementsDrive positive change and lead the team through organizational growthWe're seeking a dynamic individual with:Relevant tertiary qualifications and/or proven industry experienceStrong background in agricultureExceptional people leadership skillsWell-developed negotiation and project management abilitiesAn outcomes-oriented, adaptable, and resilient approachThe ability to work effectively in a fluid and dynamic environmentA passion for enacting positive change and inspiring othersThis position provides the chance to make a real impact on farming practices and sustainability while working in a collaborative environment that embraces diverse external partnerships.
