Details: The Community Services Directorate (CSD) Director-General is looking for a high performing individual for the role of Executive Officer.
The Executive Officer is a critical first point of contact in the Directorate for Ministers and their staff, government office holders, representatives of other ACT Government and Commonwealth agencies, the community sector, and clients. The successful applicant will report directly to the Director-General and will be responsible for supporting the Director-General in the effective delivery, governance, and leadership of the Directorate.
Sound knowledge demonstrated experience and understanding of the operations of government, high level administration, analytical, and problem-solving skills to manage change and high level written, negotiation, interpersonal, liaison and representational skills are a must for this role.

Eligibility/Other requirements: Highly Desirable:
Previous experience in an Executive Officer role.Excellent administrative and organisational skills, and a demonstrated ability to research, analyse, plan, prioritise, co-ordinate, and manage workflows associated with a busy work environment.Sound knowledge of, or the ability to gain the knowledge of, the structure of the ACT Public Service and Government business processes.Relevant tertiary qualifications and or extended experience in business administration will be highly regarded for this role.Notes: This is a temporary position available immediately for a period of three months, with the possibility of extension up to 12 months and/or permanency. A merit pool will be established from this selection process and will be used to fill vacancies over the next 12 months. Selection may be based on application and referee reports only.
