The office of Luke Gosling OAM MP, Federal Member for Solomon is seeking applications for the full-time ongoing Executive Officer position, based in the Member's Electorate Office in Casuarina, NT. Position Overview The successful candidate is responsible for liaising with stakeholders, staff, Ministerial and Departments to ensure the Member's activities are highly co-ordinated and communicated effectively and efficiently managed. This diverse role would suit a highly motivated individual with previous experience in a Executive Assistant or Diary and Office Manager role.
The ideal applicant will have strong interpersonal and communication skills, sound executive skills and thrive in a fast-paced working environment. Key duties of the role include: Provide high-level administrative and logistical support to the MP including diary management and travel arrangements.
Organising, supporting, and attending community and electorate activities and meetings.
Electorate office duties such as answering incoming calls, drafting correspondence, meeting with constituents, and administrative tasks, including data entry.
Organise, support, and attend community and electorate activities and meetings.
Engage with constituents and respond to enquiries via a range of media.
Supporting constituents with requests for information and assistance relating to federal government programs, offices, and departments.
Assisting with campaigning activities.
Other duties as required.

Excellent organisational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritise and manage multiple and competing work tasks to deliver to agreed deadlines and strong attention to detail.
Demonstrated work ethic and ability to meet the demands and flexibility of an Electorate Office - an expectation of flexibility and working of additional hours is necessary for this role.

Employment conditions: The position is offered under the Members of Parliament (Staff) Act 1984 and conditions are outlined in the Commonwealth Members of Parliament Staff Enterprise Agreement 2020-23 which include: A commencing salary will be negotiated depending on experience and relevant skills.
An additional optional allowance may be considered in recognition of, and as compensation for, reasonable additional hours of work.
Relocation assistance, studies assistance and paid study leave may also be available (subject to eligibility requirements).
An employer superannuation contribution of 15.4% will be payable.
A probationary period of three months will apply and may be subject to extension.
