The Executive Officer/Director of Nursing & Midwifery at Macksville District Hospital is a key senior leadership role within the Coffs Clinical Network.
In this role, you will use your leadership, governance, and strategic management skills to lead a multi-disciplinary team in the delivery of high-quality, compassionate, and patient-centred care.
The relatively new facility boasts an acute inpatient unit, a 24-hour Emergency Department, two operating suites, and provides the Macksville and broader community with access to a range of medical and allied health services.
You will effectively manage resources and identify opportunities for operational development and efficiency within the facility, as well as lead quality initiatives aligned with MNCLHD priorities.
About You As an accomplished leader, you will possess experience as a senior manager within a public health facility.
The successful applicant will bring:
Extensive nursing management experience, supported by relevant tertiary qualifications and/or equivalent experience.Proven ability to manage human, physical, and financial resources to deliver safe, compassionate, and culturally responsive care.Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills to consult, negotiate, and influence outcomes across all levels of staff, patients, and stakeholders.Proven experience in managing HR and industrial matters while fostering a positive, collaborative, and high-performance culture.Current registration with AHPRA as a Registered Nurse – Division 1.Diversity and Inclusion lies at the heart of how we recruit.
