We are looking for a dynamic, forward-thinking Executive Officer/Director of Nursing (EO/DON) to provide strategic and operational leadership for nursing and midwifery services at Maitland Hospital.

Your leadership will extend beyond the clinical scope, ensuring the effective governance and consistent improvement of nursing/midwifery practices.
You'll be entrusted with overseeing multiple services, including inpatient facilities, dialysis, aged care, and emergency services.
In addition to clinical leadership, you'll manage budgets, support primary health services, and contribute to a healthy work environment for your team.
With autonomy in decision-making, you will have the opportunity to influence the strategic direction of the health services within your span of control.
Key responsibilities: Lead and manage nursing/midwifery services with responsibility for multiple budgets and funding sources.Develop and implement systems to evaluate and improve clinical practice standards and service delivery.Provide strategic oversight of inpatient, dialysis, aged care, and emergency services.Drive innovation in service delivery and effectively manage change to achieve organisational goals.Oversee local clinical and support services, with the potential to manage a second health service.Support primary health services and general practitioners in delivering comprehensive care.Essential Criteria Registered Nurse with current Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia registration (or eligibility).At least 5 years of post-registration experience in nursing/midwifery.Qualifications or extensive senior management experience in finance and leadership.Proven expertise in implementing new systems, leading significant change, and managing personnel, finances, and strategic planning.Strong ability to innovate and lead change in a healthcare environment.Applicant Information Appointment will be subject to a satisfactory Criminal History Check and appropriate immunisation requirements:
