The Office of the Tasmanian Economic Regulator is looking for an Executive Officer for a fixed term period, starting ASAP until 13 October 2025.

Provide executive and administrative support to the Office of the Tasmanian Economic Regulator.Join a small (10 people) supportive team that supports the regulation of various industries in Tasmania.Enjoy flexible work arrangements and receive access to quality learning and development opportunities.About YouThe Office of the Tasmanian Economic Regulator is looking for a motivated Executive Officer to ensure the smooth operation of our Office. You will be a positive and motivated individual, with strong communication and organisational skills to help our Office run effectively and efficiently.
You will be the primary contact point for people contacting the Office and have the ability to handle routine enquiries, prepare draft correspondence, update databases and keep track of documents.
You will have:
a positive attitude and the ability to communicate effectively with diverse team membersknowledge of accounts receivable, accounts payable and budgetingexperience tracking documents and maintaining databasesstrong organisational and output management skillsAbout usThe Office of the Tasmanian Economic Regulator conducts regulatory, licensing and compliance activities in relation to regulated businesses and provides advice and support to the Tasmanian Economic Regulator. The Office also produces energy, water and sewerage industry performance reports and approves electricity, water and sewerage and third-party insurance pricing.
The Office is resourced by the Department of Treasury and Finance, a central government agency that provides economic, financial, and policy advice and services to support the Tasmanian Government priorities and improve the wellbeing of the Tasmanian community.
