About the role
A rare opportunity is available for a highly motivated and experienced senior manager to join our Project Development & Delivery Team.
The City of Sydney is responsible for approximately $15.8 billion in physical assets ($8.8 billion in land and $7 billion in built assets) to support its delivery of services to our residents, businesses, workers, and visitors. These public infrastructure assets include parks, drainage, buildings, and roads across central Sydney.
In this role, you'll lead and manage the development, design, and construction of major public infrastructure projects across the city as well as any property acquisitions and divestments. You'll also manage and oversee a business unit with a total yearly infrastructure capital works budget of around $150 million.

Leadership and team management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate a diverse team, fostering a collaborative and high-performing work environment.
Strong skills and experience in developing and maintaining relationships with a diverse range of employees, stakeholders, contractors, government agencies, utilities, regulatory bodies, and community members, addressing their needs and concerns promptly and effectively.
High proficiency in financial management, including budgeting, financial reporting, and cost control strategies at an enterprise level, and a proven track record in managing the financial performance of diverse capital works programs.
This role has the option of a rostered day off each month, known as a 19-day month.
The recommended applicant must complete a pre-employment health declaration and criminal history check.
Applications must be submitted online by 11:59pm, Tuesday 4 February 2025.
