The PositionReporting to the Chief Executive Officer, this position will provide leadership and management across all aspects of Human Resources for the organisation. The position will ensure managers, staff and volunteers are supported in a manner that optimises their contribution. You will offer valuable expertise, coaching and delivery across various aspects of employment and human resources functions throughout the business.
Responsibilities:Strategic workforce direction and leadership to align HR business objectives with organisational strategic business plans;Alignment of all workforce services and functions to Carinity's strategic business objectives, and leadership of the workforce team, encouraging performance at the highest level possible through creation of a values-based culture;Participation in union consultative committee meetings and liaising with unions on industrial issues, and monitoring implementation of the Nurses Enterprise Bargaining Agreements and legislative requirements;Guide policies and processes within the organisation to ensure compliance with Equal Opportunity Employment, Affirmative Action, Fair Work Australia, and relevant industrial instruments;Development of and participation in a series of business networks, including Leading Age Services Queensland (LASA), various Government Departments (e.g. DOHA, Department of Communities), ensuring Carinity is well positioned in understanding and initiating change within industrial frameworks;Ensure all managers have the capabilities to implement effective people management and demonstrate value across the entire employment lifecycle including recruitment/selection, Employee Value Proposition, engagement, performance management, employment relations and staff development in accordance with Carinity's policies & procedures.The OrganisationSharp & Carter have the privilege of partnering with Carinity to appoint their Executive Manager Human Resources. Skills and ExperienceRelevant tertiary qualifications in human resources, industrial relations, employment relations, or related business discipline combined with demonstrated experience in a senior HR leadership role, preferably within the Health, Aged Care, Community Care, or Education sectors;
Demonstrated experience and enjoyment in leading people, culture and safety teams of eight or more individuals;
Highly advanced practical and theoretical knowledge of all human resources and industrial relations functions, modern practices, and policies;
Excellent interpersonal, communication, and stakeholder skills along with the ability to represent Carinity at senior levels and actively contribute as a member of the Senior Management Team;
The successful candidate will demonstrate the ability to work within the Christian ethos and frameworks of Carinity;
Current Police clearance or willingness to obtain, and a current driver's licence;
The successful candidate will be required to undertake a fiduciary check and have the ability to pass an NDIS clearance.
