Executive Manager, Group Investigations

As an Executive Manager, you will provide specialist knowledge and application of investigation methodology to high risk investigations that may be referred internally through the whistleblower channel and/or CEO complaint channel or externally via Regulatory or Law Enforcement engagement.
These investigations will require you to lead & drive evidence gathering and analysis inclusive of leveraging specialist skill sets in different divisions as required as well as delivering informative final investigation reports that may be subject to regulatory or court/fair work commission review.
Some of the key accountabilities are: Lead Investigations either solely or through effective dotted line management of wider GI team members where required.Deliver informative Final Investigation Reports that enable conclusive findings to be reached in relation to allegations of misconduct.Embed and drive development of Group Investigations procedures & processes to deliver efficient & procedurally fair investigations.Provide thematic insights from GI investigations.Support the Head of Group Investigations in driving high standards of regulatory compliance and execution of key team priorities.Ensure accurate identification of key risks during internal investigations and appropriate escalation of risks within the Westpac Groups Incident Management Framework.What do I need? 8+ years of Investigations experience (Tertiary qualifications necessary).5+ years of Compliance advisory experience as part of a compliance (legal), risk or audit function (preferably at financial institution).3 - 4 years of leadership/managerial experience.Experienced report writer to all levels of management.Proven ability to execute complex investigations in tight deadlines.Dynamic communicator at all levels.As an equal opportunity employer, we invite candidates of all ages, genders, sexual orientation, cultural backgrounds, people with disability, neurodiverse individuals, veterans and reservists, and Indigenous Australians to apply.
