Do work that matters As a Practice Lead, you will lead our transformation and operations of the Delivery Coaching Practice, driving exceptional outcomes for our business, customers, and our people.
You are known as an expert of Agile, able to drive agile ways of working through theoretical knowledge of how to do agile and practical experience in how to be agile.
You will take accountability for the Practice's performance and initiatives for our delivery coaches across the Group and assist the business as it continuously uplifts its ways of working aligned with our Pace transformation.
The Delivery Coaching Practice Lead role will bring together the bank's Chapter Areas and Chapters across people and capability, with a key focus on enabling the capability, value, and uplift of the CBA's coaching community.
This role will have responsibility across the layers for all business lines, and the ideal candidate must have significant experience in agile and coaching disciplines, agile ways of working with the ability to build a strategy that can be understood at all levels of the organisation.
Key Responsibilities: Lead the coaching capability within the Delivery Practice to ensure the bank optimises its use of its coaches to drive its transformation and Pace objectives.Drive targeted attraction, retention, and engagement strategies across the Group to build the best-in-class coaching community.Support CALs and Chapter Leads to build, lead, and inspire engaged teams.Create the Practice value proposition and set guardrails, frameworks, and standards that apply across our Delivery Coaching Chapters.Simplify and enhance processes and tools to enable increased velocity and quality in the delivery of outcomes for our customers and our business.Provide people leadership and management and define career options available to CALs and CLs.Define, capture, and leverage metrics and data to inform continuous improvement opportunities that increase the effectiveness of the Chapter that aligns to industry standards.Uplift Practice maturity by fostering a culture of sharing, learning, and problem-solving across the Practice.Facilitate the constructive resolution of conflicts which may arise both internally and externally to the Practice.Participate and contribute to the Delivery Coaching Practice and/or Chapter including maintaining technical experience commensurate with their specific Practice. You are good at: Building an Agility capability at the BU and/or Group level through coaching and mentoring at enterprise scale.Driving an uplift in maturity and performance of the function through coaching, mentoring, and training.Influencing leaders and stakeholders at all levels to drive the culture change required to support uplift of Agility and product maturity.Identifying new ways of working that will optimise how we deliver and drive greater product and service innovation leveraging recognised industry best practices.Driving continuous improvement by leveraging learnings and processes across the Group i.e.
implementation of process and maturity assessments and adoption roadmaps.Providing leadership within the Group's Practice, acting as a key contributor to Practice and Chapter endeavours and supporting Practice and Chapter members.Providing radically candid feedback to Group Executives and Senior Leaders on changes they must make in order to unlock improvements across the business.Surfacing systemic organisational issues and challenges impacting the group and inhibiting improvements in our ways of working, ensuring they are prioritised for action and resolution.Providing visibility of value streams and chains across the group with recommendations for optimising effectiveness and the flow of valuable customer outcomes. We are interested in hearing from people who have: Direct experience leading, coaching, mentoring, and facilitating at a senior to executive level (Financial Services experience desirable).Possess fundamental coaching accreditations (e.g.
IC-ENT Enterprise agile) along with certifications relating to agile and product principles such as Lean/Six Sigma/SAFe/Kanban/Scrum.org.Influenced leadership as a trusted ally of the coaching community aligning with the needs of the Group and leadership objectives.Experience in working on transformation initiatives within a large enterprise environment.Experience in coaching at scale and transforming individuals and large teams across the Group.Experience, skills, and passion for attracting, developing, and retaining talent to future-proof the coaching community.Experience in public speaking and presenting/facilitating to large audiences.Experience in balancing operational rigour, governance, and adaptability within an agile organisation and ensure all processes are compliant with regulations and practices.Experience in leading and monitoring all levels of coaches, ensuring the minimum standard of coaching acumen is consistently being achieved for effective trust of the coaching capability across the organisation.Experienced and comfortable communicator, verbal and written, influential at all levels.
