How will I Help? Our Group Business Resilience (BR) team assist the Westpac (Group) in preparing for and guiding the organisational response to a disruptive and significant event which could have a material impact to the Group.
Your role as Executive Manager is responsible for uplifting and embedding Westpac's response to business resilience to meet the requirements of Operational Resilience under APRA CPS232 / 230 and in accordance with the Group Policy. Building strong relationships is critical in this role as you will need to work with many different stakeholders across the organization.
Key Accountabilities: Lead activities to implement and embed regulatory change requirements under CPS 230 with respect to operational resilience and critical operations.Develop and implement fit for purpose methodologies, processes, tools to support Westpac's Operational Resilience Policy and Standard.Provide SME knowledge and advice to the business on compliance with CPS 230, including business continuity planning and testing, critical operations and impact tolerances.Oversee and provide guidance to the broader Business Resilience team to ensure that milestones are met.Facilitate the identification and management of critical operations, including setting and testing of impact tolerances.Facilitate Business Impact Assessment (BIA) workshops and documentation and review of BIA and Business Continuity Plan (BCPs) within the Business Continuity (BC) system.Lead the Group to manage disruption risks to enhance their ability to meet business objectives, stakeholder expectations and compliance obligations.Build and drive strong relationships with stakeholders including education and awareness on best practice for business and operational resilience.Liaise with the Resilience Hub team to provide resilience reporting to divisions and Board committees.Support business control and monitoring, attestation, regulatory request and group audit activities as related to business continuity.What's in it for me? What do I need? Significant and relevant resilience and risk experience in a similar level role.A detailed knowledge of APRA's Business Continuity Standard requirements (CPS 232/230), and ability to translate requirements into a Business Continuity program.Tertiary qualifications in a business, risk, or finance related discipline.Proven experience and subject matter knowledge in Business Continuity and Risk.Proven ability in situation management and disruption response.Thorough knowledge and understanding of APRA standards and expectations for operational resilience, industry best practice (domestic and international), and maintaining / developing external networks with key BC practitioners external to Westpac to monitor industry trends and movements.Detailed understanding of policies, procedures, and proficient use of tools (BC system functionality / capability and MS Office).Understanding of risks, controls, testing and requirements in the Operational Risk Management Framework, including reporting obligations.Proven experience in analysis and reporting and advanced user of analytical tools in Excel; Excellent proficiency in translating and analysing data.Communication, presentation and coaching skills to high quality and speed.Proven experience liaising with senior executives.Ability to think through hypothetical situations and concepts and to identify risks and weaknesses in various business processes.What's it like to work there?
