The Executive Manager, Accreditation and Quality Care leads the development of strategies and policies to support the QAS in achieving and maintaining accreditation against safety and quality standards including the Australian Commission on Safety and Quality in Health Care, National Safety and Quality in Healthcare (NSQHS) Standards.
The role is responsible for the oversight of accreditation planning, implementation and evaluation processes to ensure that expected standards of health care safety and quality are met.
In addition, this role also provides high level expert advice and support to the Director Patient Safety and Quality, Medical Director and QAS Governance Committee in determining the accreditation objectives and standards for the organisation, to ensure compliance and continuous quality improvement.
We are seeking applicants who, within the context of the role responsibilities possess the following key attributes: Demonstrated strategic planning, leadership and management skills including proven success in achieving business objectives, contributing to improving organisational performance and the ability to lead multi-disciplinary work units in the achievement of organisational outcomes.Expert knowledge and experience in NSQHS accreditation processes and requirements within a contemporary ambulance service, emergency management system or health care related environment.Demonstrated ability to support and coach employees through a change management process and provide advice on the development of relevant education programs to staff regarding accreditation processes.Experience and high-level knowledge of project management methodologies in addition to demonstrated experience in leading complex projects to achieve successful project outcomes.Highly developed conceptual, analytical and reasoning skills including a demonstrated ability to interpret trend/output/outcome performance data and provide expert authoritative advice and recommendations to senior executives which contributes to quality decision making.Demonstrated high level communication, consultation, negotiation and influencing skills with a proven ability to liaise effectively and maintain productive relationships with executive management, clients, health care providers, the community and other stakeholders.Applications to remain current for 12 months.
