Executive Level 1 - Assistant Director, Data Analytics and Translation SectionThe Data Analytics and Translation Section is seeking enthusiastic and engaged individuals looking to make a difference to Health's data translation services.

Key responsibilities include:

• Lead a small team to deliver complex work programs to a high standard, particularly delivering innovative ideas to tackle challenging health policy problems using integrated data
• Support the Chief Data Officer in implementing the Department's Data Strategy including guidance to the Department on best practice approaches to the use and re-reuse of departmental data products and aligning service offerings with Departmental policy priorities.
• Progress Departmental strategic data policy outcomes such as enhancing the utility of integrated data assets or increased two-way data sharing to support policy and program delivery.
• Exercise sound judgement and provide advice on data related issues including for policy or programs.
• Maintain productive relationships with a range of stakeholders across the Commonwealth, academic and research sectors.
• Delivering or leading staff to deliver administrative functions for ongoing projects, including updating documentation and Secretariat support.
• Communicate with influence through written materials and verbal presentations, to achieve outcomes.
• Develop and deliver ad hoc training tailored to the needs of different areas.
• Assist with ad hoc work within the Section, including but not limited to preparing briefings, presentations or supporting broader HERD work programs.
