The Diocese of Lismore Catholic Schools Limited (DLCSL) office provides a range of services to support approximately 2,800 staff in 45 vibrant and dynamic Catholic school communities that serve 18,000 students.
The DLCSL office assists schools to embed their Catholic mission, to build teaching and leadership capabilities in communities of professional educators who share responsibility for achieving the best outcomes for our students.
Your new role
This newly created role will report directly to the Chief Executive Officer (CEO).
The Executive General Manager (EGM) School Services contributes to the Mission of Catholic Education in the Diocese of Lismore by collaborating in collective decision making as a member of the Leadership Team and carrying out a senior strategic role in the management of learning and educational operations.
The Executive General Manager (EGM) School Services will lead the transformation of the organisation to ensure that the short, medium, and long-term goals of the Strategic Plan are developed and met.
The goal of the EGM Schools Services position is to secure the functionality of the school system through achieving effective and sustainable learning and educational services that meet the needs of all DLCSL stakeholders.
This involves a collaborative approach and leadership to organisational, cultural, and structural change, people, systems, educational innovation, sustainability, operational efficiencies, capital development and continuous improvement.

The successful candidate will exhibit strategic and operational excellence, a consultative yet decisive leadership style, and uphold Christian values with a commitment to the Catholic mission.
Further desirable skills will include a solid commercial understanding, exceptional execution skills that achieve high performance outcomes and an ability to engage people to deliver on a compelling vision.
Relevant postgraduate tertiary qualifications are essential along with a commitment to ongoing self-development through education and participation in professional development opportunities and other relevant forums.
The ideal candidate will have:
Relevant teaching and postgraduate qualifications at Masters level or above.
Qualifications in business management are desirable.
Significant experience in leadership and management at an executive level within an education environment.
Demonstrated experience in managing multidisciplinary teams delivering best practice service delivery in a regionalised service delivery model.
A commitment to Christian values and depth of understanding of the Catholic mission.
