TAFE SA is South Australia's largest vocational education and training (VET) provider and one of the largest in Australia. It is also a registered higher education provider. More than one million students have studied with TAFE SA since being established in 1971. Each year TAFE SA accepts more than 70,000 student enrolments and delivers training at over 300 locations right across South Australia. Their courses cover more than 80 areas of industry and activity, with flexible delivery options that suit the needs of their students.
Reporting directly to the Chief Executive, this role is responsible for leading the strategic development and management of the student experience, aligning the organisation's initiatives with the government's priorities and shaping the institute's training profile to meet South Australia's needs. The role provides high-level expertise, policy, research and strategy advice at state and national levels; executive and ministerial liaison services; and leads the implementation of major projects requiring integration across portfolios to deliver on TAFE SA and government priorities. In addition, the role will oversee the design and implementation of marketing campaigns and has responsibility for the Enterprise Program Management Office.
As a degree-qualified education executive with previous experience within a large, complex organisation, you will bring an understanding of the vocational education landscape. You will have demonstrated leadership skills across a diverse workforce and a proven track record of success in strategic planning and policy development. You will be a prominent advocate for student success, committed to building a culture of innovation and excellence within the institute. This role requires exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with stakeholders at all levels, including students, faculty, staff, industry partners, and government officials. A dynamic leader with a passion for education, you will have experience making a tangible difference in the broader education sector.
