Executive Director - People, Policy and Workplace Relations Established in 1940, Marist College Ashgrove has educated and formed generations of young men from local, regional, and remote areas in a rich Catholic faith environment with a strong learning culture and vibrant co-curricular program.
Renowned as one of the State's most successful Catholic day and boarding schools for boys, the College caters for students from Years 5-12.
The College has a vacancy for an experienced and suitably qualified Executive Director – People, Policy and Workplace Relations to commence in January 2025.
The Executive Director – People, Policy and Workplace Relations provides strategic direction for the college in the area of People and Processes, in line with the Marist College Ashgrove Strategic Plan.
The position holds an integral role in directing and managing the extensive human resource operations at the college.
With some 495 teaching and non-teaching staff, the position provides to the Head of College the operational support for the functions of recruitment, professional review, performance management, employment compliance, college policy implementation, and industrial relations.
The remuneration for this position is $160,000 - $180,000 per annum plus superannuation.
The successful applicant will be offered a 2 - 5 year contract with an opportunity to renew on successful review.
The ideal applicant will have the following:
An understanding of the Marist ethos and how you would support and model this as a college leader.Significant experience in leading delivery of high-quality employee and workplace services and systems to a broad range of staff and leaders, including but not limited to policy implementation/review, recruitment, and employee relations.Demonstrated experience in dealing with policy industrial relations, employee disputes, grievances, claims, and tribunals.Demonstrated ability in the support and development of staff through regular monitoring, professional learning, and enactment of effective employee relations.Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to build and maintain healthy employee and workplace relations throughout the organisation.Applicants must hold a blue card.
