The Opportunity We have an exciting opportunity for a motivated senior human resources professional to join VicGrid in the role of Executive Director People and Culture. This is a new position which is integral to VicGrid establishing its in-house people team. Reporting to the CEO, you will lead the people strategy for VicGrid whilst working closely with partner entities across DEECA, AEMO and Government to influence people related activities and decision making.
This role presents a unique opportunity to establish and lead the people function and team within VicGrid to support the business in managing People and Culture risks in the delivery of our high-profile program of work.

What You Will Deliver Working closely with the CEO and Executive Team, you will design and deliver the overarching People and Culture strategy, minimising risk and maximising the human capital of VicGrid in delivering on its mission and goals.Cultivate relationships internally and externally, partnering with HR leaders across DEECA, the wider government and AEMO to influence people related strategies and decision making that benefits VicGrid.Operationalise organisational development and learning, training, workforce planning and resourcing, organisational design, strategic leadership, culture and change management.Drive excellence in the implementation of HR systems and all aspects of people management including attraction, talent acquisition, retention, learning and development, talent management, performance management, succession planning, workforce planning, leadership, culture and change and all IR/ER issues.Lead, coach and develop the HR Business, partnering with Talent Acquisition and Organisational Development teams, ensuring they are appropriately resourced and skilled to provide accurate and timely service to managers and employees. What You Will Bring A senior leadership style which establishes a people vision founded on diversity and inclusion which motivates multi-disciplinary teams to deliver outstanding outcomes and achieve corporate goals, enabling a capable and customer focused workforce and culture.Prior experience in leading a People and Culture team / function which enables the successful achievement of an organisation's key plans and objectives, whilst operating in a government context.A proven relationship builder with a track record in advising and influencing key stakeholders at all levels with an outcomes orientation that drives solutions rather than problems.Experience acting as a trusted advisor to the CEO and senior stakeholders on issues relating to People and Culture, including expertise on all relevant legislative requirements ensuring governance and compliance requirements are met.A track record in driving the development and delivery of organisational development programs and talent acquisition strategies that produce effective change and performance and demonstrate a strong understanding of contemporary best people and culture practice.
