The Mackay Hospital and Health Service (MHHS) located in the beautiful Mackay-Whitsunday Region is focused on future sustainability and building the best regional hospital and health service in Queensland. MHHS services approximately 182,000 people in an area of around 90,000km2 through its six hospitals, two Multi-Purpose Health Services and four community health services, and employs more than 3700 staff. The Mackay Base Hospital is the referral hospital for smaller facilities at Bowen, Dysart, Clermont, Collinsville, Moranbah and Sarina.

Mackay Hospital and Health Service is now seeking to appoint an Executive Director People & Culture reporting directly to the Chief Executive Officer and will lead the delivery of comprehensive strategic and operational human resource and engagement solutions, ensuring alignment and delivery consistent with strategic and business plans.
As an Executive, the position holder contributes effectively to the broad strategic agenda for the organisation. That agenda will encompass the delivery of safe and equitable health services and be a partner in delivering a wide range of services to the population of Mackay and its surrounding areas with the intrinsic intention of improving the health of the people it serves.
The successful candidate will need to demonstrate:
