About the role

The Executive Director of Operations leads a multidisciplinary team to deliver the EPA's frontline regulatory response. Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer and a member of the Senior Executive Committee, the role shapes the operational strategy, builds a high-performing, safety focussed workforce with a focus on wellbeing, and oversees statewide functions, including emergency response. Key responsibilities include engagement, education, inspections, and law enforcement law. The role also provides authoritative advice to the Minister, Government, the Governing Board, CEO and Senior Executive Committee supporting the CEO in managing the organisation.

Known for getting things done, you excel in leading people, innovating systems and enhancing operational performance across diverse portfolios. You are an accomplished and collegiate leader. You empower people, ensure accountability and maintain organisational performance during change. You offer established credibility and networks that underpin key stakeholder relationships into government and industry.
