About the role:
This role is pivotal in the delivery of safe and equitable health services to the population of Central Queensland.
A member of the Executive Leadership Team, the role provides dynamic strategic and professional leadership for the nursing and midwifery staff across CQ Health.
The role has a strong focus on the delivery of workforce management, quality and professional standards, education, research, and professional development.
The position holder is expected to bring their own unique perspective to strategic issues while contributing effectively to the broad strategic agenda for the organisation.
That agenda encompasses the delivery of safe and equitable health services and is a partner in the delivery of a wider range of services to the population of Central Queensland, with the intrinsic intention of improving the health of the population.
About you:
Appointment to this position requires proof of qualification and registration as a nurse with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
Post graduate qualification at a minimum of Masters preparation level, is very highly desirable for this position and membership of a relevant professional association would be highly regarded.
Expert contemporary knowledge of all aspects of the nursing and midwifery profession from an international, national and state perspective.
Expertise in material, financial and resource management including the strategic approach to developing and integrating contemporary resource management policies, practices, guidelines and standards for nursing and midwifery.
Proven ability to lead, collaborate and consult with key stakeholders in planning health services and associated budgetary accountabilities.
Ability to partner with internal and external stakeholders to optimise the reputation of and regard for nursing/midwifery in the achievement of best practice outcomes.

Total remuneration value of up to $285,068 p.a.

A salary of $249,849 p.a.
