An exciting opportunity for an experienced executive to work closely with the community and make a lasting impact in the Northern Rivers of NSW. Ongoing full-time opportunity. Role based in Northern Rivers NSW, with flexible/ hybrid working environment. Competitive Total Remuneration Package, commensurate with experience. We are looking for an experienced Executive Director, Northern Rivers Adaptation to take the lead in driving the seamless delivery of recovery and adaptation programs across the Northern Rivers of NSW. This is an instrumental role that will help shape future policy and key reforms to improve the delivery of the NSW Government's and Authority's objectives. As the Executive Director, Norther Rivers Adaptation, you will: Manage high-level stakeholder interactions, cultivate networks, and serve as a liaison between government departments and key stakeholders, facilitating the translation of policy into operational programs within the Northern Rivers region. Offer expert leadership and strategic direction in program design, development and evaluation ensuring initiatives align with objectives for the recovery and adaptation of the region. Direct stakeholder involvement in program and project management, evaluation, contract administration and grants distribution to optimise government investment in the region. Provide strategic leadership and direction to ensure successful delivery of program objectives. About You We are looking for an executive with Demonstrated experience providing strategic direction and leadership, guiding the effective delivery of recovery and adaptation programs. A proven track record in formulating and shaping policies that address complex challenges related to recovery and resilience. Strong interpersonal and communication skills to engage and collaborate with diverse stakeholders in complex environments including government agencies, community organisations and local residents. Tertiary qualification in business strategy, community development/ engagement, project management and/or planning. A comprehensive understanding of different levels of governments, navigating their complexities and processes with ease. Natural problem solving and collaboration skills with the ability to manage complex relationships and leading teams through uncertain and changing environments. About the Agency The NSW Reconstruction Authority is a statutory corporation that will improve how NSW plans for disasters and ensure that we recover from them faster. To reduce the severity and impacts of disasters, the NSW Reconstruction Authority will complete critical planning and preparation with communities, businesses and government.
