Ensure clinical governance aligns with CALHN's strategic goals and regulatory requirements, maintaining the highest standards of care.Lead initiatives that enhance patient care, prevent adverse outcomes, and set new benchmarks for excellence in clinical standards.About the Role This influential position requires you to provide visionary leadership that aligns culture, systems, and practices to deliver safe, high-quality, evidence-based care across the network. Key responsibilities include:
Strategic Clinical Leadership and Governance: Lead and drive continuous improvement in clinical governance, care quality, workforce development, and patient safety at CALHN, ensuring alignment with strategic goals while fostering innovation, collaboration, and fiscal responsibility.Education: Establish CALHN as a leader in clinical service, research, and medical education by overseeing workforce governance, fostering partnerships with educational institutions, and promoting a culture of learning and professional development.Quality, Safety and Risk Management: Lead and oversee the development and implementation of strategic frameworks, safety systems, and compliance processes to ensure continuous improvement in quality management, risk reduction, and patient safety, while fostering a culture of accountability and proactive risk management across CALHN.Multi-disciplinary Collaboration: Collaborate with the Executive Directors of Nursing and Allied Health to foster holistic workforce development, promote innovation, and advance medical education through partnerships with universities and research sectors.About You: To be successful you will feel a strong alignment to our values and demonstrate the following:
Strong leadership skills with a demonstrated ability to motivate and inspire others to work together as a team to set and achieve program objectives and build networks.Strategic vision with the ability to lead transformational change and drive system-wide improvement in complex healthcare environments.Demonstrated ability to navigate dynamic changes and manage resources effectively within financial constraints, while upholding clinical governance and patient safety standards.Proven executive-level or senior leadership experience in providing strategic health advice and leading change initiatives in complex, multi-disciplinary organisations.Extensive leadership experience in driving organisational effectiveness, accountability, and continuous improvement in dynamic environments.Proven success in managing human, financial, and material resources, including contract management and ensuring resource efficiency.Demonstrated understanding of public health system operations, particularly in acute and primary health care across the continuum of care.About CALHN Central Adelaide Local Health Network (CALHN) is South Australia's largest health network, covering almost 30% of the population across Adelaide's two leading major hospitals.
