The Department of Territory Families, Housing and Communities provides support services across the Housing and Communities portfolio. As the Executive Director of Housing and Communities, your primary objective is to provide effective leadership and management across the Central Region, ensuring professional standards and ongoing improvement by influencing recommendations to develop, implement and evaluate the Agency's policies and procedures. In addition, you will effectively manage the departmental resources in accordance with relevant legislation including the Public Sector Management Act 2012 and Financial Management Act 2014.
Your key responsibilities include managing change and resource management, developing and implementing appropriate strategies, and managing operational service delivery. You are also responsible for establishing and maintaining strategic alliances with internal and external stakeholders; providing high-level advice and correspondence in relation to complex operational issues and assisting in fulfilling the Department's emergency management welfare group responsibilities.
To meet the challenges of this strategic role, you require demonstrated leadership with extensive experience in the delivery of services, the ability to apply analytical and problem-solving skills to complex issues, and highly developed communication and interpersonal skills. A degree qualification from a relevant tertiary institution is desirable.
