About Triple Zero VictoriaTriple Zero Victoria (TZV) provides the critical link between the Victorian community and the state's emergency services agencies.
It provides Victoria's 24-hour emergency call-taking and dispatch services for Police, Fire, Ambulance, and VICSES.
This integration of emergency services communications within Triple Zero Victoria is unique in Australia and rare worldwide.

About the RoleThe Executive Director (ED) of Emergency Communications Information Services (ECIS) plays a pivotal role within the Emergency Communications Information Services team and as a member of the Executive Leadership Team.
The ED is responsible for overseeing critical communication, data management, ICT infrastructure, network, cloud, application, telephony, and security services, serving both the Emergency Services Sector and the Victorian community.
The ED's strategic leadership aims to ensure the effective delivery of these services, driving performance and exceeding the expectations of stakeholders, including the Victorian community, emergency services, and Triple Zero Victoria.
A successful ED will bring expertise in ICT security, risk management, and service continuity, ensuring best practices in security response, incident management, and disaster recovery.
Additionally, the ED will foster a high-performance culture, building and developing teams capable of leveraging current and emerging technologies.
With a clear focus on community safety and health, the ED will align the team with Triple Zero Victoria's vision, guiding them to meet service performance targets and continue enhancing service delivery to the public.
Day to day responsibilities include:
Deliver the ECIS Technology and Security Services roadmap aligned with TZV's Strategic and Corporate Plans, stakeholder expectations, and user experience goals.Provide strategic, evidence-based advice on technology and cybersecurity, influencing organisational decision-making in these critical areas.Represent TZV in committees, working groups, and industry or sector forums to drive transformation and promote intelligent, collaborative action across the emergency services sector.Foster strong relationships with agency executives to identify technology opportunities for continuous improvement and to meet both business and security needs within the emergency sector.Lead the development and implementation of a targeted cybersecurity awareness training program, ensuring effectiveness across all employee, contractor, and system user groups, while overseeing the protection and management of emergency service data and platforms for maximum value and security.About YouThe ideal candidate will have the following proven skills and experience:
Post-graduate qualification (MBA) and relevant qualifications in leading-edge technologies (AI, cloud, digital channels, software development, agile environments), with additional certifications in cybersecurity, business process improvement, or customer experience.Extensive executive-level experience in delivering critical technology services within regulated environments, including 24x7 services with high availability, security, and resiliency requirements.Proven leadership in managing large operational teams, driving organisational transformation, and navigating complex environments to build trust and manage competing priorities.Strong experience in managing technology change, aligning business needs with service providers, and identifying opportunities for digital transformation and next-generation technology solutions.Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with a demonstrated ability to influence outcomes, rapidly identify problems, and collaborate effectively with a wide range of stakeholders in high-pressure, time-critical situations.What We Can Offer YouYou will be supporting a critical service to the Victorian community and will be rewarded with a competitive salary, flexible working arrangements and employee benefits including:
