The Victorian Health Building Authority (VHBA) is responsible for the rollout of the Victorian Government's multi-billion-dollar health capital projects. We're delivering world-class health facilities across Victoria including new public hospitals and emergency care, community health services, ambulance branches, residential aged care and mental health facilities. VHBA also provides technical support across engineering, property, asset management and environmental sustainability disciplines. ? During early 2024, we became a Project Office within the Victorian Infrastructure Delivery Authority (VIDA), joining sister projects including the Metro Tunnel Project, Level Crossing Removal Project, West Gate Tunnel Project and Major Road Projects Victoria led by Director-General, Kevin Devlin.
The opportunity The Executive Director Commercial & Legal will lead a high-performing team, shaping VHBA's strategy and providing expert guidance to senior stakeholders across the business. The primary purpose of the Executive Director Commercial & Legal is to identify potential legal and commercial risks associated with VHBA's program of works this will include developing strategies to mitigate risks across the business.
We are looking for:
Experience as a senior leader of significant commercial and legal issues at all stages of infrastructure project lifecycles. Demonstrated experience to commercial and legal advice to senior government decision makers and stakeholders. A track record leading strategic planning activities, ensuring they effectively cascade to operational and team planning processes. A successful background of fostering a culture of leading high-performing teams and working collaboratively to reach goals. Management of the handling and resolution of sensitive and complex legal and commercial matters across project delivery stages.
