This position involves coordinating dynamic executive, organizational, and operational support for the Deputy Vice Chancellor, the College of Vocational Education, and the college executive team.
By effectively managing the work schedule for college governance, including key strategic RMIT committees and senior leadership forums, the Executive Coordinator will inspire collaboration and innovation.
Supporting DVC operations, committees, communications, and events ensures impactful engagement with international stakeholders including RMITVietnam and RMIT Europe Spain.
Through efficient administrative and financial management of the Office of the DVC in Vocational Education, this role embodies a commitment to excellence.
With a diverse skill set, the Executive Coordinator supports the DVC to deliver a broad range of products and services that shape the future of vocational education.
To be successful in this position, you'll have: Experience in the provision of high-level executive services, administrative support to a senior executive or equivalent in a university environment or similar large and complex organisation with the ability to act with diplomacy, discretion and tact.
Experience or demonstrated ability to coordinate executive support and governance activities at an executive level Strong, high-level written and verbal communication skills with the ability to work flexibly and efficiently as a member of a team providing quality service to a wide range of clients internally and externally, in a customer focused environment.
Initiative and problem-solving skills, ability to resolve and/or escalate complex issues and take action without specific direction where appropriate.
High-level of computer literacy including word processing; presentation software; email, internet and electronic document management databases.
Experience or knowledge of financial administration is highly desirable A knowledge and understanding of the tertiary education sector are highly desirable Qualifications A tertiary qualification is preferred but not a mandatory requirement Please Note: Appointment to this position is subject to passing a Working with Children and National Police Check.
