About the Opportunity As the Executive Chef, you play a pivotal role in leading the culinary experience at the village, ensuring a seamless operation, and delivering a gold standard service.
Your responsibilities encompass overseeing all kitchen activities, from the production and presentation of exquisite meals to maintaining ISO Quality Assurance Certifications.
You will lead employee development, menu innovation, rostering, auditing, budgeting, and reporting to create a culinary masterpiece that delights guests and exceeds expectations.
Key Responsibilities Coordinate and oversee production and presentation of meal services, carrying out cooking duties where necessary, and utilizing computer systems for standard menus, costing and production planning. Follow and deliver Civeo standard seasonal menus and promote the use of suitable seasonal, regional, & quality produce that reflects Civeo's food standards. Ensure kitchen, stores and associated areas are presented in a neat & tidy manner at all times fit for public inspection. Actively participate in continuous improvement and innovation, driving best practice in the kitchen and contributing to ideas. Ensure a professional and service-based hospitality culture is maintained by the kitchen team with a focus on service quality. Measure individual and team performance, establishing development needs and succession plans, and regularly providing feedback to the team on the achievement of overall Kitchen and Civeo objectives. Undertake and provide to more junior staff, technical and other training as required, and attend periodic team and individual meetings as required. About You Demonstrated relevant work experience of at least 5 years in a kitchen leadership role. A minimum Certificate III Commercial Cookery qualification (or equivalent) and able to produce relevant paperwork and certification (International qualifications must be recognised by an Australian Trade College). Manual Driver's Licence. An extensive knowledge of cooking in bulk catering & batch cooking in various cuisines. Strong time management & organisational skills. A strong leader with the ability to work under pressure and meet strict deadlines. Experience maintaining ISO Quality Assurance Certification. Strong understanding and knowledge on advanced budgetary analytical skills. Remote work experience (highly regarded).
