Location: Regional Victoria - South GippslandWork Type: Full TimeSalary: 90K - 100KA great opportunity exists for an Executive Chef to join a regional Hotel in the South Gippsland region of Victoria located less than 90 minutes from Melbourne. It's a popular, well-established pub hotel and a tourist destination town with a thriving rural community and frequent tourists. Sponsorship opportunity if required – Must currently be in Australia.This is an opportunity for someone to lead a team and continue to build, expand, and develop the menu. The owners are looking for someone who can bring new ideas to the table and help strengthen its reputation and increase the offering as a destination venue while keeping its existing bustling trade coming back for what they love.ABOUT THE ROLEFull-time position $90K to $100K plus super with benefits including free accommodation within the hotel.DutiesMenu planning and developmentBe creative with a new menuEstimating food and labor costsLiaising with suppliers and use of seasonal and local produceMonitoring quality of dishes at all stages of preparation and presentationEnsuring hygiene regulations are metThe ability to lead, train and nurture staff with leadership skillsAutonomously run your own kitchenPrepare and serve the meals with prideSet a seasonal menu while introducing some fresh ideasManage and maintain stock efficientlyKeep records of expenses and wastageMaintain an immaculately clean kitchen at all timesWork at pace and can be flexible with client requestsBENEFITS & PERKSA generous salary is offered.
