We are looking for an innovative and skilled Executive Chef to oversee the culinary operations at a luxury resort in the Whitsundays.
Reporting to the Resort Operations Manager, you will bring a passion for food, creativity in crafting menus, and the ability to manage all kitchen functions. As the Executive Chef, you will be responsible for ensuring excellence in food preparation, presentation, and consistency across all dining experiences.
You will play a key role in developing your team, driving high standards, and delivering a memorable dining experience for guests.
Key Responsibilities:
Design and execute seasonal, creative menus that highlight local ingredients and modern cooking methods Lead and mentor your kitchen team, cultivating a positive, productive, and results-driven environment Maintain consistent quality in every dish, from flavour to presentation Collaborate with the Food & Beverage team to ensure a flawless service and exceptional guest experience Oversee food safety protocols and compliance with health and hygiene regulations
Qualifications and Skills:
The ideal candidate will have experience in managing kitchens within multi-venue establishments and will understand the demands of resort settings. You will bring the following:
Proven culinary expertise and a passion for high-quality food A hands-on leadership style with a focus on teamwork and developmentStrong business acumen and a strategic approach to kitchen management The ability to inspire, lead, and support your team to reach high performance standards Excellent communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships with team members and stakeholders A dynamic personality with the ability to handle multiple tasks efficientlyStrong organisational skills with an eye for detail Previous experience in a luxury hotel or resort environment is essential Benefits:
