Key ResponsibilitiesSupport the Head Chef in crafting seasonal menus that remain true to the establishment's vision while managing food costs effectively.Provide guidance and supervision to Chefs, Cooks, and other kitchen staff, ensuring a smooth onboarding process and ongoing development of kitchen team members to foster a high-performing culture.Ensure compliance with food safety, hygiene, HACCP, and workplace health and safety legislation and regulations.Assist the Head Chef with culinary requirements, food preparation, and maintaining a positive work environment.Order inventory according to needs, utilizing approved suppliers and online ordering processes, and freezing and preserving foods to maintain freshness and reduce waste.Train new staff members and conduct ongoing training for existing staff to maintain skill levels.Allocate duties and rosters to permanent and casual kitchen staff.Maintain the highest standard of service, quality, and presentation throughout all food outlets in conjunction with the Head Chef.RequirementsCertificate IV qualification is required.At least 2 years' experience in a busy restaurant.Friendly, positive, and approachable attitude.Energetic and motivated.Able to work under pressure.Salary Package$70,000 - $80,000 Plus Superannuation per annum.
