New year, new challenge... we're looking for our next Executive Chef to join the team commencing February 2025.
Reporting directly to the General Manager, our Executive Chef is an integral part of the Senior Management team.
Ideally, you will possess a blend of culinary expertise, managerial skills, and a deep understanding of financial aspects like cost control.
Your primary responsibilities will include:
Leading the kitchen team in a hands-on manner, ensuring consistent product qualityDesigning, costing & implementing menus utilizing outstanding Tasmanian produceOrdering & stock controlMaintaining food & wage costs in line with budgetSetting, implementing & reviewing service standards to exceed guest expectationsMaintaining safety & hygiene standards of the kitchen & equipmentEmployee recruitment, training & developmentThe ideal candidate will possess the following qualities:
Previous experience as an Executive Chef in a similar environment would be ideal, however we will consider candidates who have the talent, drive & commitment to take on their first Executive Chef role in a hotel environmentA hands-on management style with proven leadership qualitiesEffective communication skills with hotel staff, management & suppliersComputer literate with strong administration skillsPrevious experience writing rosters & achieving food & labour costsFlexible work ethic with a passion to create unique & memorable dining experiencesThe ability to work a variety of shifts including nights & weekendsPlease forward your application, including cover letter indicating your salary expectations & current up to date resume.
