"Our Home by the sea, delivering an exceptional member experience" Situated by the sea on Sydney's Northern Beaches, the ECC is a private Members Country Club featuring a leading 18-hole golf course, various sporting facilities, a beautiful Clubhouse, and onsite private accommodation in our 9 room Lodge.

The role We are seeking to appoint an Executive Chef who is passionate about food and delivering a quality member experience. The candidate will deliver service excellence, possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and thrive in a hands-on role. The Executive Chef will oversee our kitchen operations, ensuring the delivery of high-quality cuisine that exceeds Member and guest expectations. They will be pivotal in driving innovation, managing resources effectively, and fostering a high-performance team culture within our culinary operations.

About You To be successful in this role you will have:

Proven experience as an Executive Chef in a leadership role. Strong leadership skills, with the ability to motivate and develop a diverse team, including the ability to manage kitchen operations to maintain high standards of food quality across all outlets and events. Skills in developing and implementing food initiatives that enhance Member engagement and increase usage of Club facilities. Experience in the oversight of events, functions, café/bistro and grab and go. Sound understanding of financial aspects of kitchen management, including food cost, and labour management, and the optimisation of staff resources. You will do this through collaboration with the Food and Beverage Manager to achieve financial targets related to food revenue, cost control, and gross margins. Proficiency in computer-based reporting and kitchen management software. Experience in establishing and maintaining Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for the kitchen to ensure consistency and efficiency. Proficiency in overseeing procurement processes to ensure high-quality ingredients at competitive prices. A sound understanding of food safety regulations with experience in fostering a safe workplace, which is compliant with all food and safety requirements.
