The RoleWe are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Cook to join our kitchen team at Sporting Legends. As a key member of our culinary team, you will be responsible for overseeing kitchen operations, ensuring seamless execution of menu items, and maintaining the highest standards of food quality and safety.
Key ResponsibilitiesSet up workstations with necessary ingredients and cooking equipmentConduct regular checks on equipment cleanliness and premises operation to ensure compliance with occupational health and safety regulationsVerify the quality of raw materials and accurately weigh ingredientsFollow recipes and instructions to prepare high-quality dishesRegulate oven temperatures and other cooking equipmentSeason, prepare, and cook food to meet our culinary standardsStore food in temperature-controlled facilitiesEmpty, clean, and grease baking trays, tins, and other cooking equipmentMaintain impeccable food safety and hygiene standards at all timesRequirements and QualificationsAQF Certificate III with at least two years of on-the-job training, or AQF Certificate IV (ANZSCO Skill Level 3)Relevant qualifications are required, but 3 years of relevant experience may substitute for the qualificationsAt least 3 years of experience as a cookAbility to plan menus and create new dishesEnsure quality products are prepared and presentedManage kitchen operations, including training staff when neededExperience in upholding proper health and safety requirements in the kitchenAustralian citizens and permanent residents are encouraged to apply. CompensationThe successful candidate will receive a competitive salary of $75,000.
