To support agency needs and promote career development, Executive Branch Manager roles within Access Canberra may from time-to-time be rotated across different branches leading any of the functional streams, which currently comprise of:
Strategy Data and GovernanceFair Trading and ComplianceLicensing and RegistrationService Delivery and EngagementConstruction and Planning RegulationCorporate Support and CapabilityEnvironment, Land and Technical RegulationSome Executive Branch Manager roles perform statutory functions, such as the Construction Occupations Registrar, Commissioner for Fair Trading and CEO Gaming and Racing.
About the role Access Canberra has an actual vacancy at Executive Branch Manager level to lead the Strategy, Data and Governance Branch.
The EBM for the Strategy, Data and Governance Branch have primary responsibility for three critical business areas within Access Canberra, namely:
Business Improvement, Risk, Data & StrategyGovernment Business & CoordinationMajor Procurement, Project Management & Automation.The position will be required to provide support to a range of regulatory responsibilities as part of the role. This includes the following:
Provision of Data & Intelligence in support of compliance and enforcement activities across Access Canberra.Provision of Data & Intelligence in support of licensing and registration functions across Access Canberra.Provision of Governance and Coordination in support of regulatory functions across Access Canberra.The position will provide advice to various portfolio Ministers as required. The EBM will work closely with partner policy directorates, especially Treasury (within Chief Minister, Treasury and Economic Development), Transport Canberra and City Services, Environment, Planning and Sustainable Development, Justice and Community Safety, and Community Services Directorates.
The position will be required to engage with key stakeholders in support of the program of business improvement across Access Canberra.
Prior experience or qualifications relevant to the functions of the branch will be highly beneficial.
Remuneration: The position attracts a remuneration package ranging from $274,784 - $285,773 depending on the current superannuation arrangements of the successful applicant. This includes a cash component of $244,201. Contract: The successful applicant will be engaged under a performance-based long-term contract for a period of two years with the possibility of extension up to five years. Prospective applicants should be aware that long-term engagements are tabled in the ACT Legislative Assembly.
